2012 Money Goals, 1st Quarter Expenses

Expenses

As you can tell, March was expensive (Created in GnuCash)

  •  My Car – You should be able to tell that March was a bad month car wise. At the beginning of March a bad storm came to where I live at and it threw a plastic lid through my back windshield, and side window, and busted out another one. In addition I pay my insurance in 3-month increments and March was the month. In February you see a good month, less then half spent on my car, which is what I try to do.
  • Drinks/Snacks – This also include food along with when I go out to eat. Which I try to spend less then $60 on, but sometimes it doesn’t work that way since I’ll overspend.
  • Books – I am a college student and for the Spring 2012 term I bought all but one off of Amazon, but that was in December and a few didn’t ship until January.
  • Phones/Cellphones – Right now I pay around $50-$60 a month for my Prepaid Phone. In the past there was times I paid $70 and other times I would pay $20. But now it’s pretty predictable.
  • Other(s) – This is just a catch all for misc. items and to make the graph easier to read.

Budgeting

I used to be on a budget and part of it was savings. As you can tell from the last post, I haven’t been keeping up with that goal. Which the goals I had set are going to be the basis of my budget. I want to try to keep Drink/Snacks down to $60 along with trying to pay off my debt and increase my saving. But that will be a topic for another day.

  1. You can’t, the credit card copanmy determines which part of the debt gets paid off first, and guess what, they always choose the low interest portion.

    • Sorry folks, we have been had, peed on, scammed and lied to.WallStreet boauilts were rigged and a fraud, market manipulations, high freqency trading, flash orders, naked short selling by:Goldman, JPM, Cit, MorgStanley, Aig, stay away from this scum. The Fed, Comex, ETF’s, Govt data: frauds. Your labor devalued to Zero.Pull your money out, walk away from your mortgage and CC card debt,We can beat them at their own game, buy pure silver bullion, buy local mom and pop. Starve The Beast!

  2. First of all, how can you possibly start your crdiet history without having a crdiet product (e.g. crdiet card, mortgage, line of crdiet etc).High-interest rates are here to stay, so is the fact that how picky banks are when lending you money, so those are pretty much constants, there is no hard and fast rule to bypass that systematic process. You will need a crdiet card to start your crdiet, if you don’t how can possibly even think of having solid crdiet’ without having crdiet? you must show the banks you are capable of handling debt, and they need to see this on an ongoing basis to decide where to give you more crdiet and so on and so forth. If you responsibly handle even one crdiet card (visa or mastercard) and do not charge it a lot, and pay it in a timely manner I don’t see why you’d be in heavy debt’.Control spending habits, do not be too extravagent and neither too conservative.Establishing crdiet is not hard, but ruining it basically takes just one payment.Since everything is now so much interlinked with the crdiet system. Establishing crdiet without a crdiet product does not work.Hope this helps you.

    • The federal thpeleone soliciations act has nothing to do with collections .debt collectors aren’t trying to sell anthing, they are trying to collect money that is legally owed. Its true that if you tell them not to cll they have to take your number out. They dont have to send you a copy of a do not call policy, thats crap why don’t you give advice telling people to negotiate and they will get a huge settlement which essentially will save them thousands on the card the selfishly ran up..

  3. I am almost pisvtoie that you CAN. Call the customer service number on the back of the card and talk to a customer service specialist. Most of the time, when you transfer a balance, all they require is that you give them the account number of the account you wish to transfer and some other basic information. It isn’t against the law to pay for something for someone, just make sure your brother is there with you in case they need his social security number, or other personal information that you may not know.

    • Interesting chart. In the details, I am a bit ierttaird by the use of both the circle area and the arrow width for the same dimension. I could imagine something along the lines of a radial Sankey chart (a la circos) to be interesting in comparison. Well done nevertheless.

  4. oscy999 must not have been hurt by this economic deseispron. I just love people who haven’t walked in the shoes, but sit on their throne and judge everybody else. SELFISHLY RAN UP? Not everybody was out buying big screen TV’s. Some folks who lost their jobs, (HOPING thngs would get better by now), were using their cards to pay for groceries, the doctor’s office, or car repairs trying to keep the old heap on the road. How dare you judge when you haven’t walked in somebody elses shoes.
